Postby Debuff » Mon Feb 01, 2010 10:25 pm

General

Name: Debuff
Class: Holy Priest/Disc Offspec
Age: 29
Gender: male
Armory: Official Armory Wow Heroes

What are your professions? 450 Enchanting/Engineering

PVE talent build: 13/58/0

Our raidtimes are Sunday --> Thursday 6:00 pm PST to 12:00 am PST during progression. Can you meet this demanding schedule during times of progression?

Yes, I have plenty of time to devote to this raiding schedule.

Will you play at all outside of scheduled raid times?

Yes, I do a number of other things in the game including arenas and raiding on alts.

Have you read and do you understand our guild charter?

Yes

Character Details

Tell us about your PVE experience? What have you raided?

I'm an old school raider. I have raided all content in the game from mc to current. I was actively raiding in Sunwell. It was a true test of healing capability and we were very successful. I have missed out on much of the hardmode content in the past year as I was not in a raiding guild. I have managed to pug a fair amount.

Friends/Family currently in HiJ(not required, just curious):

Sorry, I don't know any of you well. I do alot of pugging on the server so some of you may remember me.

Prior guilds and reasons for leaving: (if you are a transfer please talk to us in game or via PM):

My most recent guild, Game Over of Bronzebeared, was the number one guild on the server. We had several server firsts in Sunwell including Muru. I raided with them into Ulduar but had to quit soon after downing yog for the first time. I have not been in a raiding guild for about a year because I was in the US Air Force and was not able to make normal raid times. I have recently gotten out of the service and my schedule now allows me to pursue hardcore raiding.

Important Section

Why do you want to join us and what can you offer? Sell yourself to us. (This is especially important if you are undergeared)

I've been on the server for several months now and of the top raiding guilds, I have seen the least drama/ninja etc from HIJ.

What I can bring to the table:
Well Geared Character with good spec/gems/glyphs/chants -- I do my theorycrafting
Perfect Attendance
Good raid preparation
Good situational awareness in raid
Quiet on vent
Online all the time - available for 10mans/alt runs
Have 5.5gs prot pally alt for 10mans

On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the worst, 10 being the best) How would you rate your ability to take, often times very harsh criticism? Do you take it and learn from it or are you a whining little bitch who will /gquit as soon as someone says anything in his general direction?

10, I'm x-military, I'm used to it =P

What is your role in raids and how does a good player excel at this role to be considered strong at their class?

As holy, my primary roll is raid healing. Priests bring a huge arsenal of tools to the raid though which allows them to do any type of healing that is needed at the time. I see my roll as overwatch and backup healing which requires my raid awareness to be on point. I need to be flexible because its my job do the quick fixes. The pally cannot pause his holy light spam on the tanks, the shaman is limited by player positioning and the druid may not have the instant heal required. 90% of my work is done in non-hardcasting globals which allows me to make those clutch saves.

Do you have a microphone and are you capable of talking on vent?

Yes, but I tend to be quiet on vent.

What is your ideal set of items (Please include items from patch 3.3)?

I believe this item is more aimed at dps classes. For a holy priest there is not as much divergence in gear choice. I will say that +spell is top priority and I am currently going for crit over haste because there is little hard casting in my normal raid healing rotation. If I was asked to raid as disc, I'd prefer haste.

Here is a SS of my UI

I have 24 memorized hotkeys. I float grid in the center of my screen for healing. I have grid fully configured to notify and prioritize key debuffs. I use power auras classic mod to notify me of things like Surge of Light procs. The graphic you see in the SS warns me that Inner Fire has fallen off.

My computer is fast, my screen is big and my connection is reliable.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my application!

Very well written app. until we get to this part:

I believe this item is more aimed at dps classes. For a holy priest there is not as much divergence in gear choice. I will say that +spell is top priority and I am currently going for crit over haste because there is little hard casting in my normal raid healing rotation. If I was asked to raid as disc, I'd prefer haste.

Also, skipping the following two questions are a bad idea.

Post a WWS report / World of Logs / Wow Meter Online showing a recent raid (if you dont have these ur current guild is either too stupid or too shitty and we dont want you anyway):

Major Glyphs: ?

Would you just leave shit blank on your job application? You're trying to make a good first impression and you retards are too stupid to even fill out the application right.
